a.  Brush your teeth twice daily both morning and night. Floss your teeth regularly in the night before brushing.
b.  Massage your gums with finger, and clean your tongue with bristles of the brush or back side of the brush.
c.  Take fresh vegetables, fruits, greens and avoid starchy, sugary and sticky foods.
d.  Do not prick your teeth with pins. Use inter-dental brushes to clean in between teeth and bridges.
d.  Do not leave decayed cavities left unfilled. Smaller cavities grow in to deeper, leading to infection, pain and swelling.
e.  To avoid bleeding and swollen gums, scaling should be done once in a year.
f.  Misaligned teeth can be corrected at a younger age.
g.  Use of pacifiers to babies, thumb sucking and nail biting habits can result in forward positioning of teeth.
h.  To avoid oral cancer stop pan-chewing habit.
